Every time we come to Vancouver, we make it a point to come to one of Bubble Waffle Café's locations. The Hainan Chicken Laksa noodle soup is SO delicious-- creamy, savory, coconutty. The noodles are plentiful and so is the chicken meat. And only $1 more for a bubble waffle?? What a deal! Not to mention a beverage is already included in the cost of the noodle (The iced lemon tea is great! Not too sweet, and tastes very authentic to hong kong café-style lemon tea). The bubble waffle is sometimes cold by the time you eat it, but it still tastes great nonetheless. It's a bit more buttery/fragrant than a lot of other bubble waffle places.
We also opted to get the Hong Kong style rice roll bowl that includes fish balls and fish shumai. It's definitely a bit less value since they are low-cost items, but all of it tasted really good and just like the ones in Hong Kong. However, I do wish that they served the dish with a heavier hand of sesame sauce/hoisin and added the option for standard chili/spicy sauce and roasted sesame seeds on top. -

I have been here many times before for my favorite bubble waffle cake. However this time their customer service got me so mad. The landsdown bubble waffle gave me a the bubble waffle cake that's burnt inside. And when I went to complain about it, they said that's how the machine is. They did not even offer to either replace or refund it.
Never going to go back again and will avoid at all cost. -

I saw the sign for Hainanese Chicken after finishing my soup dumplings (in the same food court) and was curious of how it tasted. It took some time to get the food. The chicken portion was decent, but the rice was mediocre at best. It was pretty dry and packed some flavor. The ginger sauce helped with it. Maybe I should've stuck with the bubble waffle instead?

I used to really love this place when they first opened but like another reviewer commented, it has gone down hill. I got the corn tomato chicken soup with my noodles and since I ordered through the app, the automatically packed it to go. When I opened the soup container it was literally just chicken broth. The tomato and corn were with the noodles. I was amazed at the sheer laziness of this. Before you could tell that they cooked the tomato in the soup. This was just disappointing. Couldn't they lie to me a little and at the very least thrown the tomato slices in the soup?? SIGH
A couple days later I'm back at landowne mall and I order a lemon tea and use my stamp card to redeem an order of bubble waffle. Please take note that this visit takes place on a Saturday.
Cashier: There's no bubble waffle.
Me: *looks over to see two containers filled with them and a lady making more* I don't get it, they're all right there.
Cashier: you can't redeem the free one on a weekend
Me: doesn't say that anywhere on this card
Cashier: that's what the boss says
Me: Where's your boss?? Get your boss out here!
Cashier sticks his head in the back and talks to someone. He comes back out and gives me my damn bubble waffle. I hear him talking to his other coworkers about how one boss says this and other says that. I get it, he's just following orders, some really stupid orders. My lemon tea was crap, watery and barely any lemon flavour even tho I stabbed the heck out of the lemon with my straw.
The one thing I can appreciate about this place is how you can order ahead online and get a discount, tho the discount isn't worth much since prices have inflated so much. Hope they get their act together and give people they're damn free bubble waffle whenever they choose to redeem it. -

Located in the Lansdowne food court .This is a pretty good place for quick eats without having to tip. Tasty Asian noodles or rice dishes . The quality of food is maybe just average but I would recommend the Hainan chicken rice dish or the Laksa soup broth for the noodles. For $10.95 it's a pretty decent deal and comes with either drink or bubble waffle. For noodle riders Simply fill out their card and choose your options (like meat choices , noodle type etc.) For your dish to be ready it is usually a 10-15 min wait as they are usually busy . If you go regularly remember to bring your punch card
